Technology to treat waste water with nitrogen 

Removing nitrogen or phosphorus of nutrient salts is an important theme to protect environment for water quality. Nitrogen has four forms - organic, ammoniac, nitrite and nitrate. The treatment method varies dependent on form, density, coexisting material and nature. Also it is necessary to recover and recycle nitrogen component as much as possible. Aquatech selects treatment method from below as to meet the situation.

  • We conduct ammonia stripping by conventional stripping tower.
  • In case slurry density is high, we employ our original method. It does not suffer from trouble of clogging as conventional filling system does and it can maintain required performance. Inexpensive calcium hydroxide is usable for alkali agent. It is also possible to remove phosphorus at the same time with ammonia stripping.  

NOx free ammonia combustion decomposition system

This is a system to dissolve ammonia by use of recent catalyst technology without generating NOx. The system embodies the advantage of thermal-recovery and energy-saving and makes it possible to decompose exhaust gas including ammoniac gas with over 5% without diluting.

Treatment of waste water containing nitrogen by microorganism

Nitrogen treatment by microorganism is most suited to the treatment of large amount of waste water because it can treat any form of nitrogen.

Ludzack-Ettinger process

Waster water containing ammoniac nitrogen is denitrified in anaerobic tank by feeding organic compounds such as methanol after nitrified by microorganism in aeration tank. But in case untreated water contains much organic waste, we can use BOD component to efficiently denitrify according to the following process. Beside it is possible to substantially reduce pH control chemicals.

High-speed denitrification bio reactor using fluidized bed carrier

This process carries out denitrification treatment, fixing densely microorganism onto porous carrier and using efficient bio-reactor. Using bio-reactor provides the following advantage.
