Acid recovery technology

We propose system possible to recover free acid as well as acid component of metal salts. We build an optimum system for your required treatment of waste acid considering recovery rate and energy-saving.

Method to recover free acid

AQ resin method

Our original system to recover acid The system has various characteristics.

  • Operation under normal temperature and normal pressure
  • Operation under normal temperature and normal pressure
  • Using sensor, we separate acid from metal and collect in best apportionment
  • We use water to reclaim AQ resin (no acid or alkali is used for reclamation of AQ resin.)
  • We recover free acid component from various waste water with mineral acid・inorganic acid.
  • We build system in ordinary pickling process and line.

AQ type pressure dialysis method (Membrane separation method by pressurizing with some MPa )

  • Volume of waste fluid becomes below half.
  • Clogging of membrane by sludge in waste acid is rare to occur.
  • Density of recovered acid is slightly higher than that of waste acid.
  • Not suited to waste acid with highly concentrated metal
  • Possible to recover acid with very little metal component

AQ type diffusion dialysis method (concentration difference diffusion separation by ion exchange membrane

  • Possible to recover acid with very little metal component
  • This system rarely causes clogging of membrane by sludge, which was so far a disadvantage with the system.
  • Usually the system is used at later stage of AQ pressure dialysis, but single use of the system is also possible.
  • Possible to apply to acid solution having highly concentrated metal

Total acid recovery method

AQ type distillation method (applicable to recovery of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, fluoric acid)

  • Possible to recover acid radial of metal salt as acid by adding sulfuric acid or other acid
  • Possible to recover high concentrated acid
  • Possible to recover acid without metal salt
  • Possible to recover metal from waste fluid containing condensed metal salt left after distillation

BPM electro dialysis method (applicable to waste fluid after recovering free acid, Astom Co.’s electrolytic bath is used.

  • Waste liquid after recovering free acid is used.
  • Necessary to remove metal salt sludge (possible to recycle metal)
  • Sometimes necessary to condense recovered acid

AQ type crystallization method (applicable to sulfuric acid waste fluid with ferrous salt

  • No waste fluid and possible to recover metal salt
  • By using together with AQ type pressure dialysis method, possible to control metal concentration in pickling solution under 3%. (Crystallization does not occur in room temperature when metal concentration of pickling solution is kept under 3 %.)
